Manuela Klauser, known as sheisinblack.art, creates visual worlds at the intersection of surrealism, dark aesthetics, and playful imagination. Her artistic practice is rooted in Soft Goth Surrealism — a visual language of contrasts in which eerie atmospheres meet delicate, poetic and subtly humorous fragments. Working with generative AI as a creative tool, she translates fleeting emotions, inner images and subconscious impulses into visual works that oscillate between beauty and unease.
Her works often blend creepy & cute elements with gothic undertones, creating intimate yet unsettling spaces. Rather than presenting linear narratives, sheisinblack.art constructs atmospheres — fragments of visual storytelling that remain open to interpretation and emotionally charged. Ambiguity lies at the core of her practice, inviting viewers to linger, project meaning and explore the tension between softness and darkness.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, among others at AI Week Milano, Kunstmeile Basel, PARALLEL Vienna, and the British Art Fair at Saatchi Gallery, London. She was also awarded by the Vertical Movie Festival Rome for her video works.
Beyond exhibitions, sheisinblack.art collaborates closely with musicians and bands, creating stage visuals, music videos, release visuals, and Spotify Canvas animations. Her visuals translate sound into image, functioning not as decoration but as atmospheric extensions of music. Across galleries, fairs, stages, and screens, her work explores how technology can become an emotional medium — amplifying fragility, intuition and poetic imagination in the digital age.
